The blade is hand-made in traditional Japanese craftsmanship way. It is hand-forged, hand-polished and hand-sharpened by our experienced smith.The blade is made of 1095 high carbon steel and laminated in Maru structure. The Kissaki shape of the blade tip is Chu-kissaki. The blade surface is mirror polished by multiple abrasive stones and sand-paper.Clay was used to thinly cover the edge of blade and thicker layer cover the rest of the blade.This leads to relatively quicker cooling of the blade during quenching, producing a hard edge and softer back.The hamon on the blade was the result of quenching and tempering.

This tsuba (guard) of the sword is made of Iron with two Copper Seppas to put on each side of it (spacer securing it). The Habaki (blade collar) is of brass composition.
This Tsuka is made of hard wood and wrapped with genuine ray skin, and tied with leather ito in the traditional wrap style.The Fuchi (sleeve) and Kashira (buttcap) on the tsuka are made of iron with matching Menuki on each side as an ornament, two Mekugi (peg) are nailed to secure the Tang of the sword. (Sword can be disassembled by picking up the two Mekugi (peg)
This saya(sheath) of the sword is made of high quality hard wood and wrapped with ray skin. The Sage-O is tied around the Kurikaka (knob) of the saya, the Koiguchi(scabbard mouth) and Kojiri(scabbard tip) has been hardened.
Sword Function
This sword is made of high quality T10 carbon steel with magnificent craftsmanship of clay tempering, which cast hardness of the blade in a large degree. This sword is fully battle ready and fully functional. The sword can be as hard as to cut the hard thing like: cut the meat with bones, paint bucket and straw mat; can be as sharp as to slice paper. This is a functional sword which can be used for the real battle, and also an absolutely necessary as one of the collections or display for its special clay tempering and exquisite craftsmanship of forging process.
