Our factory has used only traditional method for Chinese sword making, each blade is individual hand forged, heat treated, tempered and polished by skilled hands creating a true battle ready and perfect sword which is studied not only for its elegant lines and simple beauty, but Also for the technique and skill that went into its construction.
The blade of the Chinese sword is hand-made in traditional Chinese craftsmanship way. Fully hand forged, hand polished and hand sharpened using old Chinese methods by our experienced smith all the way through to create a quality blade for you. The blade is made of folded steel and has folded 12 times to create the 4096 layers to increase the flexibility and hardness of the blade and a distinct texture is left on the blade as a result of the repeated folding during the process. The visible tenuous undulating grain on the blade was resulted from folded repeatedly during forging.
Bo-hi is added to each side of the blade to ligthen the blade and balance the sword as a whole to make better operation. (If you don’t want the bo-hi, just contact us through ebay message.) The blade is in full-tang which greatly enhances the strength of the whole sword when doing the cutting practice. The sword is hard enough to cut meat or bamboo, sharp enough to slice paper, and also of collection and display value for its beautiful folding craftsmanship.
Fitting:
The fittings on the sword are made of high quality copper, and they are fully hand-made carved and assembled by our experienced smith which greatly increase the collection value of the sword. The Handle of the Chinese sword is made of high quality rosewood.
The scabbard of this Chinese sword is made of high quality rosewood.
